The next time someone asks me what the hardest part of being married is I might say, “The Blogâ€. I’m just not very good at remembering to write anything here. I won’t even try to start where I left off, that is two months of stuff.
So, here’s where I am today. Currently I’m reading Velvet Elvis. Just started it actually so I cannot comment on the content yet. This book comes in a series of books I’ve been reading about a shift in the church and what it means to be an evangelical. A lot of what I’ve been reading resonates with me. Some of it challenges my thinking and all of it adds to what God has already been speaking into my life – – I need to be more intentional about sharing the love of Jesus with others. I mean, in the big scheme of things that is what most of life is about because of what I do at Book of Hope, but . . . there is a lot more I can do to reach those around me.
Other than that we have just been up to regular things. Friday we had dinner with Derek, Stephanie & Linda . . .and Saturday we had lunch with Tommy, Paula & Emily . . . two families who are my dearest friends. Emily’s birthday is today. She is growing up into an incredible young lady and we love being with her.
